What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep, and to send back on later visits. Browsers also offer other storage, such as session storage and local storage, which work in a similar way but are not sent to the server automatically. Laws such as the EU ePrivacy Directive and Turkish KVKK guidance treat all of these the same way, so this policy covers them together.
Cookies are usually grouped into four kinds:
- Strictly necessary — needed for the site to work or to keep it secure.
- Functional — remember a choice you made, such as a language or a display setting.
- Analytics — measure how the site is used.
- Advertising — follow you across websites to show targeted ads.
What kuarktek.digital stores
We use the first two kinds only. The site stores no analytics, advertising or social-media cookies, and it loads no third-party scripts that could set them on our behalf.
| Name | Type | Set by | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
kt-opened | Functional, session storage | kuarktek.digital | Remembers that the opening animation has already played in this tab, so it is not shown again on every page. | Until you close the tab |
kt-lite | Functional, session storage | kuarktek.digital | Remembers that your device asked for the lighter version of the site's animations, so pages stay smooth. | Until you close the tab |
Neither value contains personal data, neither is sent to our server, and neither is shared with anyone.
Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary technical cookie as part of its security filtering or load balancing. Such a cookie cannot identify you and is not used to track you.
Third parties
The fonts, scripts, styles, images and videos on kuarktek.digital are served from our own domain. We do not embed third-party players, widgets, chat tools or analytics on the site. Where a page links to another website — a client, an award platform, a social network — that website may set its own cookies once you arrive there, under its own policy.
Consent
Because the site only stores strictly necessary and functional values that are exempt from consent requirements, it does not show a cookie banner. If we ever add analytics or any other non-essential technology, we will ask for your consent before it loads, update this page, and list the new technology in the table above.
How to control storage in your browser
You can view, delete and block cookies and site storage in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies and Site settings
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Blocking all storage for kuarktek.digital will not break the site; the opening animation will simply play on every page.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever the values the site stores, or the technologies it uses, change. The date at the top shows the latest version. For how we handle personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy and GDPR Policy.
